10 Years of Service: Celebrating QVet Jonathan N.

On August 4, 2025, Jonathan N. marked ten years of service with Quevera, becoming the third member of the QTeam to reach this milestone. His decade with the company reflects steady contributions, technical excellence, and a thoughtful approach to leadership that has helped shape both the work and the culture at Quevera.

Throughout his time at Quevera, Jonathan has been known as a dependable and highly knowledgeable team member. His work has supported complex initiatives across the organization, from systems design and application development to infrastructure maintenance. Much of this impact has happened behind the scenes, but it has been felt across projects, platforms, and teams.

Jonathan has made significant contributions to the implementation and ongoing maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ensuring availability, scalability, and security. He supported the successful migration of legacy systems into modern environments, improving efficiency and long-term reliability.

He also helped establish and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines, enabling smoother development cycles and stronger engineering outcomes.

His influence has extended beyond infrastructure into application development and team support. Jonathan developed and maintained enterprise-level front-end applications, balancing functionality, usability, and consistency. He built reusable components and libraries to support long-term scalability, while also developing backend applications and RESTful APIs to meet evolving business needs. Throughout this work, he regularly provided guidance and technical support to junior administrators and teammates, reinforcing a culture of learning and collaboration.

Jonathan’s impact has also been felt directly through mission enablement. He traveled across the country with Quevera’s Mobile Lab, delivering hands-on training to government personnel and helping teams gain confidence in new tools and systems. He consistently supported junior system administrators through mentoring and training, contributing to shared success across the team.

Beyond technical contributions, Jonathan has been recognized as a calm and steady presence during demanding moments. Teammates often turned to him for thoughtful input and practical solutions. His approach fostered trust, collaboration, and reliability, helping teams move forward with confidence even under pressure.

Quevera’s founders, Lee and Jamal Simms, shared the following reflection on Jonathan’s impact: “Jon O has consistently demonstrated exceptional talent, making invaluable contributions to our team. Tyler G. also reflected on Jonathan’s work, noting that his contributions included implementing and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructure; migrating legacy systems to more reliable environments; establishing CI/CD pipelines; and developing enterprise-level applications across both front-end and back-end systems. Tyler highlighted Jonathan’s willingness to support and train junior team members, as well as his ability to build reusable tools and thoughtful solutions that continue to benefit the team.

Jonathan’s ten years at Quevera represent more than longevity. They reflect consistency, quiet leadership, and a commitment to excellence that has strengthened systems, teams, and relationships across the organization. His work continues to support the mission in meaningful ways, and his presence remains an important part of what defines the QTeam.
